2024 Roadway Paving Project

Project Number 2024-TP-01

Separate, sealed bids will be received for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the construction of the aforementioned project.

Bids will be received by the City of Villa Rica, Villa Rica Georgia, herein referred to as “Owner” and bid documents can be purchased at the City of Villa Rica City Clerk’s Office, 571 W. Bankhead Hwy, Villa Rica, Georgia until 10:45 AM (local time) on Friday, January 12, 2024. Bids must be received by 11:00 AM (local time) at the City of Villa Rica City Clerk’s Office, on January 12, 2024. After such time on the same day, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Conference Room, 571 W. Bankhead Hwy, Villa Rica, Georgia. Bids received after the designated time will not be considered. Bids shall be clearly marked and sealed.

The Major Items of Work Consist of:

1. Traffic Control
2. Recycled Asphalt Concrete 19MM, 12,889 Tons
3. Recycled Asphalt Concrete 9.5MM, 8,967 Tons
4. Bituminous Tack: 11,000 Gallons
5. Milling at variable depths 0” to 4”: 106,805 square yards
6. Grading Complete (Shoulder and Slope Construction)
7. Grassing, Stabilization of Newly Constructed Shoulders
8. Thermoplastic Striping and Raised Pavement Marker placement

Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the City.

Work is as specified in the Bid Document and is to be done in accordance with current GDOT standards and specifications.

The Instruction to Bidders, form of Bid, form of Contract, Drawings, forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and other contract documents are available for review at the City of Villa Rica City Clerk’s office located at 571 W. Bankhead Hwy, Villa Rica Georgia, 30180 (678-840-1229). Bid Documents and Specifications may be purchased at the above address for the cost of $25.00 each.

No bid will be accepted from a bidder who has not purchased a set of bid documents from the above-mentioned office. No bid will be accepted from a bidder who does not meet the pre-qualification requirements outlined in paragraph B.01.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on an accepted form, duly executed by the bidder, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid.

Owner reserves the right to waive any formality or informality or to reject any or all bids, to evaluate bids, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be for the best interest of Owner. Owner has the right to add to and delete from the contract once it has been awarded. Award, if award is made, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

The successful bidder for this contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
