ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE II FOR THE COOSA WATER AUTHORITY

Sealed proposals will be received by the Coosa Water Authority at the Authority’s Office, P.O. Box 804 (Mail), 4707 Blue Ridge Highway (Hand Delivery or Shipping), Blairsville, Georgia 30514 until 3:00 p.m local time, February 27, 2024, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.

Coosa Water Authority is seeking bids from qualified vendors for supplies and materials for the following:

Part One:Approximately 14,000 linear feet of 6-inch water lines, all complete with appurtenances.Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on. The bidder shall provide the lead time for material delivery. The price shall be the full, delivered cost to the Coosa Water Authority with no additions.

Coosa Water Authority will award as one contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.

The work to be performed under this contract is partially funded with federal funds from the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) Water Sewer Infrastructure Grants established via the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and therefore is subject to federal laws and regulations associated with that program.

Drawings and Specifications are open to public inspection at Coosa Water Authority office and at the offices of Turnipseed Engineers in Augusta and Atlanta, Georgia.

Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained from Turnipseed Engineers, 2255 Cumberland Parkway, Building 400, Atlanta, Georgia 30339, upon receipt of $200.00.

Digital copies of the documents are not available.

Upon receipt of all documents in undamaged condition within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, half of the deposit will be refunded. The difference between the deposit and the amount refunded represents the cost of reproduction. No refund will be made for documents received after 30 days or in damaged condition.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
