The Project consists of modifications being made to the existing Highway 120 booster pump station in order to improve the existing distribution system pressures. The scope will include, but is not limited to, the following major elements:
• Removal of the existing Motor Control Center (MCC) in the electrical room.
• Replacement of the MCC with three variable frequency drives (VFD) for operation with the existing pumps.
• Removal and salvage of the Gree packaged thermal air conditioning (PTAC) in the electrical room.
• Installation of a new HVAC system in the electrical room.
• Removal and salvage of the three existing pump motors.
• Replacement of the three pump motors with new inverter rated motors designed for operation using VFDs.
• Removal of the existing remote terminal unit (RTU) panel. (By others)
• Replacement of the RTU panel to automate pump VFD operations. (By others)
• Installation of approximately 430 feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe, with all necessary piping connections and two isolation gate valves, to connect the Highway 120 BPS discharge piping the to the East Paulding Dr 12-inch distribution piping.
