The City of Statesboro's Engineering Department is requesting for proposals for a design professional to provide conceptual streetscape improvements along with final civil design including, but not limited, to landscape architecture, utility relocation, stormwater, and traffic improvements under the project name: 2024 RFP ENG-92: West Main Streetscape. Plan Production format will be per Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) PPG and reflected in the final design. All design must be in accordance with the latest AASHTO, MUTCD, and GDOT Standards and Specifications. The streetscape project for downtown Statesboro will integrate aesthetic and safety improvements for the downtown area that will encourage and accommodate pedestrian and non-vehicular traffic. The intent is to enhance the appeal of downtown to local citizens, business owners, and tourists. The City of Statesboro desires to have the design plans for the project to be completed by end of June 2024, so that any right-of-way acquisition can take place shortly after and construction can commence as early as the fall.
