Description
Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers who will provide KSU - Dining Services Kitchen Equipment to Kennesaw State University-KSU (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
Objective
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, by and on behalf of Kennesaw State University is seeking to establish a contract with up to three (3) suppliers for kitchen equipment, small wares, and supplies for Dining Operations. The items on the cost worksheet represent only a few of the items that are commonly purchased for Dining Operations. KSU¿s intent is to have the ability to purchase any item offered in the Suppliers catalog, as well as, placing special orders for non-stock items as needed. KSU will not pay more than any catalog price but does expect to receive discounts as they become available. The discount shall be mentioned at the time the order is placed.
Background Information
Kennesaw State University (KSU), located northwest of Atlanta in Cobb County near historic Kennesaw Mountain, is the third-largest university in Georgia, and it is one of the 50 largest public institutions in the country. A member of the University System of Georgia, Kennesaw State is a Carnegie-designated doctoral institution recognized for its entrepreneurial spirit, global engagement and sense of community. Kennesaw State is a residential institution located on more than 581 acres with a growing population of more than 35,000 students from 92 countries. Approximately 5200 students live in eight residential communities in Kennesaw and Marietta. KSU Dining operates or provides food services for both the Kennesaw and Marietta Campuses. There is a residential dining hall and a food court on each campus.
