Sealed Bids for a water line and booster pump station replacement project will be received by the City of Young Harris, Georgia at City Hall located at 50 Irene Berry Drive, Young Harris, Georgia 30582, until 3:00 P.M. local time on Friday, March 31st, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
Work required under this Contract includes providing all materials, labor, equipment, etc. for the replacement of a water line and booster pump station which includes the installation of two (2) Grundfos Hydro Multi-E CRE 10-10 60Hz booster pumps and replacing approximately 2540 linear feet of existing PVC water line with 6-inch diameter class 305 PVC water line or 6-inch diameter class 350 ductile Iron Pipe. Work on the booster pump station includes excavation and grading of the site, construction on-site of a new single-story building, associated site improvements and other facility upgrades per contract documents including site concrete paving, an asphalt access driveway, finish grading, erosion control and site stabilization, and all related appurtenances for a complete and functioning system. Work on the water line includes utility trenching, backfilling, laying of waterline (leaving existing lines intact), testing and decontaminating the lines, and the replacement of all related valves, meters, curb stops, and related appurtenances to improve service for the Young Harris Water System.
