Description
Sealed bids for construction of this project will be received until April 11, 2023, 2 PM at 1209 Ellison Bridge Road, Sardis, GA, 30456 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on March 23 2023, 2 PM at 1209 Ellison Bridge Road, Sardis, GA 30456. The work shall consist of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to perform the following:
Implement a meter change-out for approximately 435 water meters with AMI modules. A work summary will include the removal of existing water meters and installation of new water meters with AMI transmitters. The City of Sardis will supply the meters.
Time allotted for completion of work is sixty (60) calendar days. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are on file at Parker Engineering, LLC. Copies may be obtained from Parker Engineering, LLC., Email: lindsey@parker-engineering.com, upon payment of $100.00 for each full-size set (non-refundable). Bidders must demonstrate the following in order for the bid to be accepted:
Installation of a minimum of 10,000 AMR/AMI equipped meters in the past 5 years. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All contractors will be required to follow the DBE requirements found in Section 00810 of the specifications and the following website: https://gefa.georgia.gov/document/publication/srf-supplemental-general-conditionspdf/download
The City of Sardis complies with all federal requirements outlined in the 2014 Appropriations Act and related DWSRF Policy Guidelines, which GEFA understands, includes, among other requirements, that all of the iron and steel products used in the Project are to be produced in the United States (American Iron and Steel Requirement). This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act.
