SUMMARY OF RFQ

The City of Norcross is seeking statements of qualifications (SOQ) from licensed General Contractors to provide CMR/ (CM/GC) services for a new Public Safety Building.

The City understands this solicitation timeline and sequencing is an expedited schedule for a solicitation of this type. However, the City is desirous to obtain the services of a general contractor to assist the City in developing the Public Safety Building in a Construction Manager at Risk/(Construction Manager/General Contractor) delivery method. Because Schematic Design is already underway, the City is seeking a firm who can participate immediately on the City¿s team working in a collaborative and transparent approach to provide effective value engineering and cost input. The City believes the solicitation process and timeline described in this RFQ document is the City¿s most efficient approach to achieve our desired results.

The Norcross Police Department and Courthouse are currently located within City Hall. It is the City¿s desire to construct one new Public Safety Building to house both departments. The project construction site is located at 6025 Buford Highway, Norcross, GA 30071. The new Public Safety Building and associated parking lot will replace the site currently occupied by the City¿s abandoned library building and 3 adjacent homes located along Stevens Road in Norcross, Georgia. The entire site is approximately 4 acres.
