Description


The Ware County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids for 2024 RIGHT OF WAY MOWING on approximately 179 miles of county roads for a period of one year. Bid packages are available for acquisition or review at the Ware County Administration Building, 305 Oak Street, Suite 227, Waycross, GA 31501.

Bid packages must be acquired from county staff to allow preparation of an official plan holder list for distribution of any addenda that may be required during the bid process. Bid proposals and packages from bidders not on the plan holder list will not be considered at the bid opening.

Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, and will be opened and read aloud at that time. No bids will be accepted after the appointed time of opening. Ware County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept any bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of Ware County.

A list of roads involved in the work is included in the bid package. Each Bidder is directed and encouraged to make any and all examinations independently, and not to rely solely on the information stated herein, which is to be used only as a general guide.

All questions, clarifications, or requests for additional information must be made in writing to Michael Brooks, Public Works Director at mbrooks@warecounty.com. Questions must be received before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024 to allow responses to be provided to all prospective bidders.
