Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish an Agency Contract with a qualified supplier who will provide University Housing Mini Fridge Rental Contract to the University of Georgia (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
University Housing at the University of Georgia provides more than 9,000 residents with comfortable, affordable and secure on-campus housing options in residential communities where the academic success and personal growth of residents are encouraged and supported.
University Housing is interested in establishing a Revenue-Sharing contract for Direct to Student Rental of microwave and refrigerator/freezer combination units that meet the minimum specifications as provided in this eRFP. University Housing, along with Procurement will administer the agreement, which is for a term of one year with an option to renew annually for an additional four years.
Although MicroFridges® are currently provided in a limited number of residence halls, the awarded vendor¿s units will be available for all students on campus, including those with housing-provided MicroFridges®. Contract usage for students will be optional. In academic year 2023, approximately 780 units were rented.
Basis of Selection
The University will evaluate responses, and if a Vendor is to be selected, select the Vendor based on 1) The Vendor's plan to provide the University with the Services as described in Section II, Scope of Services; B) Acceptance of State of Georgia Standard Terms and Conditions which would govern the relationship between the University and the Selected Vendor; C) The overall cost to the student.
