Competitive sealed bids for the of Demolition, Elections Building, Coffee County Board of Commissioners, Douglas, Georgia will be received by the Owner at 101 S. Peterson Avenue, Douglas, Georgia on June 20, 2020 @ 1:30 PM at which time and place all bids received will be opened publicly.
Request for the PDF Project plans, specifications and other documents should be mailed or hand delivered to the office of the Project's architect Suttles & Associates, 4328 Douglas Broxton Highway, Broxton, Georgia 31519 or P.O. Box 190, Douglas, Georgia 31534 (telephone 912/384/5533), email- vbsarch@gmail.com. Such plans, specifications and other documents are open to inspection by the public at the office of the Architect and at the office of the Owner of such plans, specifications and other documents are incorporated herein by reference.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Owner.
The owner reserves the right to reject all bids or any bid that is non-responsive or not responsible, and to waive technicalities and informalities.
The Owner will award the Project by the base bid (that is, the amount of money stated in the bid as the sum for which the bidder offers to perform the Project). Thus, for the purpose of awarding the Project, the Owner shall not consider selected alternates, that is, the amounts stated in the bid to be added to or deducted from the amount of the base bid if corresponding changes in the Project scope or alternate materials of construction are accepted by the Owner.
Bids may be mailed or hand delivered to bid opening place named on page one, provided they are received prior to the designated time of 1:30 P.M. No add-ons (additive alternates) or deducts (deductive alternates) can be written on the outside of the envelope containing the bid. All bids shall be enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope marked only with the name and address of the Bidder and captioned:
