Sealed Bids: Sealed Bids for the construction of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Improvements will be received, by the Talbot County Board of Commissioners, at the Commissioners Office, P.O. Box 155, 35 West Madison St. Talbotton, GA 31827. Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a licensed by the State of Georgia. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown.
Work to Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Improvements as described in the contract documents and specifications. In general, construction consists of replacing approximately 1371 existing water meters with ultrasonic meters, remove & replace 970-meter boxes/lids and installation of transmitters, collectors, hardware, software, and training for advanced metering infrastructure system. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a 120 consecutive calendar day construction schedule.
