Sealed proposals from General Contractors will be received by the Board of Commissioners of Lowndes
County, Georgia, at the Multi-Purpose Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Board of Commissioners Office, 327
North Ashley Street, Valdosta, Georgia 31601 until 3:00 P.M. Legally Prevailing Time on December 5,
2023 for Francis Lake Warehouse Modifications for Lowndes County Board of Commissioners. At the
time and place noted above, the proposals for this project will be publicly opened and read. No extension
of the bidding period will be made.
Project consists of:
Construction of enclosure to open bay of existing metal building structure and improvements including
insulation, lighting and ventilation as indicated on design documents. Additional work included on project
includes site improvements including grading, asphalt paving, new pump wash basin, new monorail
beam, new sanitary drain and new pump storage shelter structure. Upon completion of construction the
exterior of all structures shall be pressure washed/cleaned. The project is located at 5333 Mill Store
Road, Lake Park, Georgia.
Plans and specifications are available from Crews Engineering, Inc., 101-B South Patterson Street,
Valdosta, Georgia 31601, Ph. (229) 244-3100. A bidders list will be available from Crews Engineering,
Inc. Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and all other interested parties may obtain plans and
specifications by contacting Crews Engineering, Inc. Bid documents will be available for printing cost of
$50.00 per copy. Deposits for bid documents are refundable after the submittal of a bona fide bid and
return of the copy of bid documents in good condition. All copies, including electronic copies of the bid
documents, will require the $50.00 printing fee to assure inclusion on the bidders list (to receive
applicable addendums).
Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45)
days after time has been called on the date
