SEPARATE SEALED BIDS for custom reactivated granular activated carbon services will be received by the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority at 1170 Atlanta Industrial Drive, Marietta, Georgia 30066 prior to 2:00 p.m. for the Project know as:
Supply of Custom Reactivated Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Services
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Bids received after the designated time for receival of bids will not be considered. Unsealed bids, including facsimile bids or bids sent by e-mail, will not be considered. The Owner of the project is Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same.
The general nature of the work includes transferring spent GAC into transport trucks, reactivating the GAC using NSF 61 certified facilities, blending with re-agglomerated bituminous-based coal GAC, testing the quality of the blend, transporting to Owner’s water treatment facility in Acworth GA, transferring the GAC into the contractors, and providing documentation to the Owner.
A site visit of the Owner’s GAC water treatment facility in Acworth, GA is required at least five (5) days prior to the bid date and must be scheduled by contacting Wyckoff Division Manager, Terry Wilson, at (770) 514-5300 or (770) 514-5350. Site visits are allowed between 9am and 4pm.

All questions related to the Project shall be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m., local time, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, to the Owner’s Procurement Coordinator at procurement@ccmwa.org. Questions, if answered, will be addressed by addendum to the Contract Documents. Receipt of any amendment to this Advertisement for Bids shall be acknowledged, in writing, and shall be submitted with the bid.
