Description
Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) is being issued to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers who will provide pool chemicals to the Kennesaw State University (hereinafter, KSU) as further described in this eRFQ.
Kennesaw State University is seeking a supplier to provide pool chemicals as per the chemical list. Kennesaw State University has two campuses. All suppliers must submit an electronic bid. No telephone calls will be accepted. Once awarded a contract with one or more qualified suppliers who will provide pool chemicals to the Kennesaw State University (hereinafter, KSU) as further described in this eRFQ. The Kennesaw Campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road Kennesaw, GA 30144 and the Marietta Campus located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway Marietta, GA 30060. KSU has three (3) bodies of water: a spa 2,749 gallons, a leisure pool 70,100 gallons and a lap pool 225,000 gallons.
Supplier agrees to deliver ordered pool chemicals to Kennesaw State University between the hours of 7:00 a.m. ¿ 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday within three (3) business days of purchase order submittal from Kennesaw State University. The contract established will be utilized by the Department of Sports and Recreation. The initial contract term is for one (1) year, with four (4) additional (1) year options to renew.
Overview of the eRFQ Process
The objective of the eRFQ is to select one or more qualified suppliers to provide the goods and/or services outlined in this eRFQ to the State Entity. This eRFQ process will be conducted to gather and evaluate responses from supplier for potential award. All qualified suppliers are invited to participate by submitting responses, as further defined below. After evaluating all suppliers¿ responses received prior to the closing date of this eRFQ and resolution of any contract exceptions, the preliminary results of the eRFQ process will be publicly announced, including the names of all participating suppliers and the evaluation results.
