The Claxton-Evans County Economic Development Authority will be accepting sealed bids for the sewer reroute at the Evans County Industrial Park West. The work shall consist of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to perform the following:

The project will consist of a gravity sanitary sewer main reroute including, but not limited to, installation of 356 LF of 8” PVC sewer main. The project will further consist of erosion and sediment control, and grassing.

Bids must be typed or printed in ink. Bids submitted as a result of this invitation must be submitted on the Bid Form provided and returned in a sealed envelope marked “Sealed Bid: Claxton-Evans County Economic Development Authority Rail Spur Extension Sewer Reroute”.

The Scope of Work as described above is defined as “utility contracting” in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a “Utility Contractor” and must also employ a “Utility Manager” certification holder who will have oversight of all the work.
Exhibit B, Section A of The Right of Entry Agreement requires the Contractor and the Contractor's employees to successfully complete a Roadway Worker Training Program. Sealed bids will be received at Claxton-Evans County Economic Development Authority, 302 West Railroad Street, Claxton, Georgia 30417, until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2023, at which time all properly received bids will be opened and publicly read. No Bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Non-mandatory pre-bid: March 30, 2023 at 2 PM.

Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid.
