GDC would like to establish an open agency contract with one or more vendors who can furnish all labor, materials, tools and laundry equipment (washer and dryers), to FOB Destination delivery to any GDC facility located within the State of Georgia, satisfactorily complete installation of washers and dryers in the laundry rooms, and train staff.

The quantities listed on the line items are the estimated annual quantities that GDC expects to purchase based on historical usage. The resulting award of the contract(s) does not guarantee volume or a commitment of funds. GDC will place orders against the resulting contract(s) as needed.

This solicitation is to establish one or more open agency contracts with suppliers to allow the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) to purchase the laundry equipment specified in the bid attachments as needed by all GDC facilities throughout the life of the contract. However, GDC does have an immediate need for one 130lb washer and two 170lb gas dryers to be delivered to GDC¿s Special Management Unit at 2978 GA-36, Jackson, GA 30233 that GDC would be looking to purchase immediately upon award of this eRFQ. GDC reserves the right to award the one-time purchase of that equipment separately from the award of the multi-year agency contract(s) if necessary, as described in Section 6.6 of this document.
