Description


The Monroe County Board of Commissioners will be accepting Sealed Bids for the Dan Pitts Drive Extension & Equestrian Facility Grading in Monroe County, GA.
Closing date for Sealed Bids shall be March 14, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the Monroe County Board of Commissioner¿s Office, 38 W Main Street, Forsyth, GA 31029. Bid amounts will not be released until the Board of Commissioners has awarded the project to the winning contractor.

Work includes the extending Dan Pitts Drive from the Monroe County Recreation Center through property owned by Monroe County to Fairview Church Road Extension (approximately 3,400 feet of new unpaved road.) The work includes grading for the future Equestrian Facility (± 61,000 Cubic Yards). Related work includes utility relocation coordination, testing, erosion / sediment control, and final stabilization.
A Pre-bid meeting will be held February 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Monroe County Recreation Department at 100 Dan Pitts Drive, Forsyth, GA 31209. The meeting will move to the equestrian arena grading site on Fairview Church Road to review the grading site.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bond must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed with the Department of the Treasury.
