Description


The City of Covington (City) is seeking Qualifications from qualified firms interested in providing Engineering Services for a project known as the 2024 Industrial Pretreatment Program Technical Evaluation and Update, for the Covington Water Reclamation Facility located at 11085 Flat Shoals Rd, Covington, Georgia 30016 (the Project). Sealed Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for ¿2024 IPP TECHNICAL EVALUATION AND UPDATE¿ will be received by the City of Covington Purchasing Department located at 2194 Emory Street, Covington, Georgia 30014 until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 16, 2024. The Project is described as a review and written technical evaluation of the City¿s Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) local limits, to prevent 1) interference with operation of the Covington Water Reclamation Facility (WRF), 2) pass-through of pollutants, 3) sludge (biosolids) contamination, and 4) toxicity in effluent going to the City¿s Land Application System (LAS). In conjunction with this evaluation, the City is requesting a review/update of its corresponding IPP components, including, but not limited to, inventory, surcharge rates, permits, and ordinance accuracy and language
