Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide services to the RV Savannah Mid-life Retrofit to the University of Georgia (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
The purpose of the project is to find a supplier who can provide shipyard services to the mid-life retrofit of the RV Savannah located at UGA's Skidaway Institute of Oceanography. There are two sets of work to be performed:  the refit scope of work and the maintenance scope of work. This will be a single award.
For suppliers intending to bid on the project, there are applicable drawings that you should request access to.  Please do so by emailing Deanna Wang at dwang@uga.edu with the subject line "Request to RV Savannah Drawings" and she will give you access to the drawings.
There is a mandatory site visit on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 10:00 am EST at UGA Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, 10 Ocean Science Circle, Savannah, GA, 31411.  The intent is for the site visit to take place all on 11/15, but there is a chance that it may extend to 11/16 if additional time is needed.
