INVITATION TO BID
1.1 Competitive Cost Sealed Bids
The City of Perry, Georgia (¿City¿) is now accepting proposals from qualified contractors to dredge out and clear debris within and in the City owned perimeter area of the stormwater pond located in the Longbridge Subdivision. The pond spans several lots and is located within a City stormwater easement (308 Longbridge Way, 307 Longbridge Way, 308 Tyndall Way, and 309 Tyndall Way).
The pond is approximately 97,000 square feet in area and access is available by City easement from the cul-de-sac at Longbridge Way and Tyndall Way. Plat of record is attached for reference.
Sealed Bids for Longbridge Stormwater Pond will be received until 1:00 pm on February 29, 2024 at 1211 Washington Street, Perry, GA 31069. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at said office. Any bid received after 1:00 pm on February 29, 2024 will not be considered by the Owner. Following the closing time for the receipt of bids no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
1.2 Scope of Work
The City is soliciting bids for the following services to be completed at the Longbridge Stormwater Pond:
¿ Vegetative material must be cleared from within the pond and around the entire pond perimeter slopes. Stumps from vegetative clearing must be ground to grade and sprayed with herbicide to prevent re-growth.
¿ Dredging or mucking out the pond will be required to reestablish original design intent and ensure proper stormwater flows.
¿ Once sedimentation has been removed and regraded, a measurement must be provided to the city of water depth at the outflow to determine need for perimeter fencing.
¿ All disturbed areas and banks of the pond must be seeded with permanent grass species (Bermuda) at completion of work.
¿ This work should be scheduled to be seasonally appropriate for grass establishment and stabilization.
¿ An original design drawing will be provided to the awarded bidder that should be use to re-grading of the pond.
