REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

THE POLK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IS ACCEPTING SEALED PROPOSALS FROM EXPERIENCED AND QUALIFIED VENDOR/VENDOR/CONTRACTORS TO PROVIDE ALL ENGINEERING, MATERIALS, LABOR, AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT A NEW INLINE GRINDER AND AUGER SYSTEM FOR THE POLK COUNTY JAIL SEWER SYSTEM. A CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED TO THE VENDOR/VENDOR/CONTRACTOR WHOSE PROPOSAL BEST SATISFIES THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS REQUEST AND BEST SERVES THE INTEREST OF POLK COUNTY. SEALED PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 4:00PM EST ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2023 IN THE COMMISSIONERS OFFICE LOCATED AT 216 MAIN STREET IN CEDARTOWN, GA 30125.

A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid is required and must be submitted with proposal. Payment and Performance Bonds in amounts equal to 100% of the awarded cost of the project will also be required upon award of the project.

VENDOR/VENDOR/CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO VISIT THE SITE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL FOR THE PROJECT. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL VENDOR/VENDOR/CONTRACTORS TO HAVE A THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF THE EXISTING CONDITIONS AND PROJECT REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL.

Electronic copies of proposal documents may be obtained from the Polk County Administration Office located at 216 Main Street, Cedartown, Georgia 30125. Requests for additional documents (if any) should be filed promptly with Polk County. Proposal documents are also available on the Polk County Website: www.polkga.org.

No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the deadline for submission.

Polk County Government reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and informalities.
