NOTICE OF LETTING
CONTRACT AND INVITATION FOR BIDS
POLK COUNTY, GEORGIA
"CAVE SPRING ROAD IMPROVEMENTS"

All bidders must attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held on October 4, 2023
at 10:00am in the Polk County Administrative Conference Room located at 216 Main Street,
Cedartown, GA 30125. Attendance is mandatory to submit a bid.

Notice is hereby given that Polk County, Georgia proposes to let a Contract to the lowest
responsible bidder, upon sealed proposals, for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and other
things necessary for the Cave Spring Road Improvements along Cave Spring Road.

Sealed proposals will be received until 4:00 p.m. (local time), on October 17, 2023 in the Polk
County Commissioner's Office, located in the Polk County Administration Building, 216 Main Street,
Cedartown, Georgia, 30125. Sealed bids will then and there be publicly opened and read aloud.

The work is to be let in one contract, and shall conform in all aspects to the Specifications of
Southern Engineering & Surveying, Inc., Rome, Georgia, which are made out and posted conspicuously
in the Polk County Administrative Building, and said specifications, general conditions and drawings
are open to the inspection of the public.

Said work shall begin upon the written order of the Polk County Board of Commissioners, after formal execution of the contract.

Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. All
bonds must be signed or countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent.
