The City of Suwanee is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for POLICE DEPARTMENT FIRING RANGE HVAC REPLACEMEN AT POLIC TRAINING CENTER BUILDING. Sealed bids will be received by the City of Suwanee, Public Works Department, 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee, Georgia 30024, until 1:45 P.M. local time on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, and then publicly opened and read aloud at the ¿Public Bid Opening¿ at 2:00 P.M. at City Hall Meeting Room, 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee, Georgia 30024. Any bid received after 1:45 P.M. will not be accepted. The envelope must be marked on the outside with Bid Number, Name of Bidder, date and time of opening, and ATTENTION Amir Mahfoozpour on the envelope. A 5% bid bond is required as part of the bid submittal. A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Police Training Center located at 2966 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend to discuss and clarify any questions regarding the project or contract documents. Work required under the Contract consists of replacing an existing direct expansion custom air handling unit, associated condensing unit and ductwork with a new custom packaged rooftop air conditioning unit and ductwork. The new rooftop unit will include all of the controls and sensors to maintain the optimum environment for an active firing range to operate. Associated work will include new electrical wiring, conduit, and breaker for power and a new non-invasive railing on the roof. Work to dismantle the firing range target system and bullet trap as needed for the project will be procured separately by the owner.
