Water Service Line Materials Field Verification
City of Gainesville, Georgia

The City of Gainesville is requesting individual Proposals for furnishing materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for the Water Service Line Materials Field Verification project. This Project includes, but is not limited to: obtaining dig tickets from GA811; locating existing service lines on each side of the water meter; exposing service lines using Owner-approved methods such as visual, soft dig or hydro-vacuum; identifying service line material with swab and scratch tests; documenting service line information using a City provided online form to upload photographs and material identification; and restoring disturbed landscaping to pre-existing conditions. Beginning on Monday, January 15, 2024, a copy of the request for proposal and contract documents can be obtained, via email from Alejandro Chacon at achacon@gainesvillega.gov or on the City of Gainesville website at https://www.gainesville.org/Bids.aspx . There will be a mandatory Pre-Proposal meeting for this project on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Conference Room at the Department of Water Resources, 757 Queen City Parkway, Gainesville, Georgia 30501. Sealed proposals may be submitted until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Thursday, February 29, 2024, to Alejandro Chacon, City of Gainesville, Department of Water Resources Administration Building, 1st Floor, Engineering and Construction Services Division, 757 Queen City Parkway, Gainesville, GA 30501.
