Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated §§50-5-50 et seq.), the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia by and on behalf of Kennesaw State University (KSU) is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers who will provide Snack Vending Services to Kennesaw State University (hereinafter, ¿KSU¿ or ¿the State Entity¿) as further described in this eRFP.

Objective
The objective of this eRFP is to establish a contract with a qualified supplier capable of providing full service vending, furnish, deliver, install, maintain vending machines and keep the machines full with a variety of popular brand-name snacks to Kennesaw and Marietta campuses. Beverages are not included. The growth and development of KSU, especially its residential population, demands a fresh approach to snack vending services, by providing snacks that appeal to students, faculty and staff as well as a high level of service, and outstanding customer satisfaction.

The Department of Campus Services, designated representative(s) will perform the day-to-day contract administration of the resultant contract. KSU intends to award a contract for five (5) years, i.e., one (1) initial term, with four (4) one -year renewal options.

Overview of the eRFP Process
All timely proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the steps described in Attachment F_eRFP+Evaluation+Negotiation+and+Award+Terms, Section, ¿Proposal Evaluation, Negotiations and Award (eRFPs), 1. Evaluation. ¿The objective of the evaluation process is to identify the proposal which represents the best value to the State Entity based on a combination of technical and cost factors.  Based on the results of the initial evaluation, the State Entity may or may not elect to negotiate technical and/or cost factors as further described in the eRFP.

After evaluating all suppliers¿ responses received prior to the closing date of this eRFP and resolution of any contract exceptions, the preliminary results of the eRFP process will be publicly announced, including the names of all participating suppliers and the evaluation results.
