ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by The City of Social Circle until 10:00 AM Eastern on Tuesday,
August 15, 2023 for the construction of the:
Social Circle Water Treatment Plant Improvements, Krebs Job No. 21034
at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
A summary of the work items is included below:
This project consists of improvements at the Social Circle Water Treatment Plant. These
improvements include filter rehabilitation which will consist of new underdrains and media, new
piping and valves, SCADA and filter control improvements, new control panel, new instrumentation,
concrete rehabilitation, and rehabilitation of the filtered water piping and finished water piping that is
located inside the clearwell. Additionally, the electrical service will be upgraded to 480V which will
require new electrical panels, new pump motors, new backup generators, and miscellaneous
electrical upgrades. This project is partially funded through GEFA; all pertinent federal
requirements apply.
The work of constructing the project will be let under one Contract if an award should be made; and
the Owner reserves the right to select the Bid considered by the Owner to be in the best interest of
the Owner.
