Purpose of the eRFI
This electronic Request for Information (eRFI) is being issued to solicit information from interested suppliers with respect to Grants Administration Software for the Georgia Southern University (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFI. The State Entity will use the information generated by this eRFI in conjunction with other information available to the State Entity to determine the solution that it is in the best interests of the State Entity to fulfill this need.
The Office of Research at Georgia Southern University is requesting information about Research Administration software, capable of managing sponsored service proposals from development through post-award management.

Concerns with existing system:
No real-time data reporting
Data extraction is not clean; multiple records for one proposal; data tables not well defined/field names not descriptive/not all data fields extractable in queries.
System availability due to system down

Shrinking customer base in last few years

Basic Requirements

Solution must integrate with internal and external websites and web tools.
Solution must integrate with current systems used by the University[1] .
Solution must have single sign-on capability.
Solution must be able to migrate data extracted from current system.  Continuity of the financial data will need to be maintained from the existing system to the new system.
Solution must be capable of producing text-based documents in a widely acceptable format such as portable document format (.pdf).
Solution must allow the client to maintain full ownership of all data.
Solution must be intuitive and user friendly.
Solution interface must be responsive and support various devices including desktop, tablet, and mobile.
