Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) is being issued to establish a contract with one supplier who will provide Fire Alarm System Upgrade Hardware, Installation and Maintenance Services to Kennesaw State University (hereinafter, KSU) as further described in this eRFQ.
Suppliers will provide Fire Alarm System Upgrade Hardware, maintenance, and installation services at various KSU facilities on the Marietta Campus located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway Marietta, GA 30060. Supplier(s) will administer the duties and responsibilities set forth in this Request for Quotes (¿RFQ¿), in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Overview of the eRFQ Process
The objective of the eRFQ is to select one qualified supplier to provide the goods and services outlined in this eRFQ to KSU. This eRFQ process will be conducted to gather and evaluate responses from supplier(s) for potential award. All qualified suppliers are invited to participate by submitting responses, as further defined in the eRFQ. After evaluating all suppliers¿ responses received prior to the closing date of this eRFQ and resolution of any contract exceptions, the preliminary results of the eRFQ process will be publicly announced, including the names of all participating suppliers and the evaluation results. Subject to the protest process, final contract award(s) will be publicly announced thereafter.
Scope of Work
Kennesaw State University has identified multiple buildings at the Marietta Campus Facility which are currently operating with a Fire Alarm System control panel which is no longer supported by the manufacturer. The solicitation is replacement of the Fire Alarm Control panels as well as the associated devices to utilize improved detection methods available with current generation fire alarm panels, and to allow future connection to the campus wide fire alarm network. A cellular dialer/communicator, UL listed for sole-path communications, will be provided at each Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) and configured for connection to the University¿s designate
