Description


Sealed bids for construction of 2021 Register CDBG will be received until June 22, 2023, 3:30 PM at 7 Main Street, Register, GA 30452 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days. The work shall consist of furnishing all products & equipment & performing all labor necessary to perform: Replacement of the southern portion of the town of Register’s water system with approximately 5,300 LF of 8” PVC water main and 80 LF of 6” water main. The project will also consist of new valves, fire hydrants, water laterals, pavement replacement, sediment control, and grassing.
Time allotted for completion of work is 120 calendar days. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. Plans & Specifications are on file at Parker Engineering, LLC. Copies may be obtained from Parker Engineering, LLC., Phone: (912) 764-7722, Email: lindsey@parker-engineering.com, upon payment of $150.00 for each full-size set (non-refundable). The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as “utility contracting” in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a “Utility Contractor” and must also employ a “Utility Manager” certification holder who will have oversight of all the work. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Funding is to be provided by the CDBG Program. All Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4, as applicable to the area of the project. This is a Section 3 Covered Contract. Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.
