ADDENDUM #1
3/26/2024
Request for Qualifications with Cost Proposals
RFQ/P #44-033
For the provision of:
Exploring New Technologies for Leachate Treatment at the Candler Road Landfill
We have a few questions that have been asked and wanted to provide the answers for everyone:
1. The RFP describes the site and current system very well. Do you have any data on the daily leachate production at the site? If you have an annual trend on this that would be beneficial to our bid.
Production numbers range from 19,500 - 20,000 gallons per day or 3.15 - 3.20 cubic meters per hour. It just depends on the Leachate coming in to be treated, but that’s the current range setting, which is basically max for the current system.
2. The RFP asks that the demolition of the RO system be included. This doesn’t look like much of a job based on the photos, but the cost can depend on how completely you would like the site reclaimed. For example, “demolished to the concrete, with concrete in place and all undergrounds disconnected, but left in place” gives us a pretty good idea. Alternatively, we could do a cost + and the bid would include labor rates etc. Can you give us some direction on that?
The current RO system would need to be removed for the installation of a new system. Any and all cost associated with this should be included. It will be up to the contractor to decide what equipment/infrastructure/materials can be used from our existing set up.
3. Our units are fueled. On landfills, its typically biogas that is used for the source of fuel. Does this site have, or is it installing, a biogas system? If so, what is the expected biogas production?
We do not have an existing biogas system.
4. Can we visit the landfill?

, if you would like to schedule a site visit. If there are specific questions you need answered, please send those to me so I can add another Addendum for everyone to see.
5. If we offer two (2) business models, such as Infrastructure investment and Noncapital, may we provide a proposal for each?
Yes, you may provide a proposal for each business model. If you provide two (2) business model proposals, please make sure each proposal is marked accordingly.
Thank you,
