Magnolia Drainage Improvements

Sealed bids for construction of the project entitled “Magnolia Drainage Improvements” will be received until Tuesday, October 24, 2023, 2:00 P.M. at the City Manager’s Office, Tifton City Hall, 130 1st Street E, Tifton, GA 31794 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.

Work To Be Done: The work shall generally consist of furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to install the following (see Plans and Specifications for complete details and description):

The project includes but is not limited to: repair/rehabilitation of existing 96”-108” CMP stormwater pipe joints using internal joint seals, removal of two ±30 LF sections of 108” corrugated metal pipes (CMP) to be replaced with two ±30 LF sections of aluminized CMP; removal and replacement of ±40 LF of curb; removal and replacement of ±175 SF of asphalt parking areas; repair of existing voids at CMP joints (96” and 108”) by cementitious grout injection, sand/sediment removal at select areas within the culverts, and other associated work including, but not limited to, traffic control, erosion control, and materials testing.

The fee to download the digital documents is $200 (non-refundable) payable through the website. A bidder’s proposal will not be considered by the Owner unless the Bidder is on record with Quest/ESG Engineering, Inc. as having purchased and received complete Bidding Documents.

License & Bonds Required: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by the State of Georgia. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements.

Pre-bid Conference: A pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Tifton City Hall, 2 ^nd Floor Conference Room, 130 E. 1 ^st Street, Tifton, GA 31794. Attendance is not mandatory.

The City of Tifton reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.
