Description

This technology Includes reparable type items used in repair and test operations for all types of Air Force equipment by all

levels of maintenance. Included is equipment for measuring electrical and electronic properties including ammeters,

voltmeters. ohmmeters, and multf...meters. Included also is Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) which is programmed to

perform tests on various aircraft and systems automatically and operate on a fault isolation technique or a go/no-go basis;

a1so includes the spectrometer used In the Spectrometer Oil Analysis Program (SOAP).

EXCLUSIONS. Items which measure properties other than electrical or electronic are not included. Test stands in NSN

4920 and 6625 which measure such properties as fluid flow or pressure. torque, RPMs. and hardness. Also excluded are

specialized test equipment peculiar to another technology: that is, weapons, air munitions, nuclear components, missile

components, which require skills or knowledge of the particular technology, to accomplish repair and are therefore

included in those respective technologies.



System Technology is required to support JCS taskings. Additionally, organic repair is required to

alleviate a shortfall in identified technology based on FY09 Bien nial Core Computation. Capability

shall be established. Technical competence shall be maintained.
