The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI), 2436 Woodlake Cir., Okemos, MI 48864-6001 for data coordinating and technical assistance center services to support a population-based Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Sudden Death in the Youth (SDY) Case Registrisrty. No other systems are known to exist that meet the specifications already in place. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All quotations/responses received by the deadline specified in this notice, in accordance with FAR 5.203, will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to the contract specialist at uhs0@cdc.gov by 3:00 PM EST 20 May 2023.
