Greetings!



A Job Corps Outreach event will be held on December 7, 2023, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Senior Procurement Executive (OSPE), Job Corps Acquisition Services (JCAS). This event is free of charge to all participants and will be virtual.



Who Should Attend: Any entities interested in learning about the services that are provided under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Public Law 113-128 (29 U.S.C. Sec. 3101, et. seq.) (WIOA) at the Job Corps Centers located in 6 Regions around the country to include Puerto Rico.



Job Corps provides comprehensive career development services to students including academic, career technical, career success and independent living skills, career readiness training, and support services. The unique combination of services provided in Job Corps is intended to prepare youth to obtain and hold gainful employment, pursue further education or training, or satisfy entrance requirements for careers in the Armed Forces.



DOL is especially interested in outreach to entities in underserved communities, such as Black, Latino, Indigenous and Native American persons, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other persons of color; members of religious minorities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) persons; persons with disabilities; and persons who live in rural areas.



Benefits of Attending: Job Corps is a residential and non-residential training program that serves youth ages 16 to 24 with Job Corps Centers throughout the nation. Attendees will obtain a better understanding and appreciation of the Job Corps Program and how it is implemented under WIOA.



Conference Location: The Job Corps Outreach Day will be held virtually on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m Eastern Time.



Pre-registration Requirements: All vendors are required to pre-register via email to ETAOCM-JC-INDUSTRYDAY@dol.gov.



For pre-registration purposes, vendors are required to forward the following information: name, job title, business name and address, telephone number, and email address. Registrants are also asked to identify if their firm is:






    • Black owned

    • Latino owned

    • Owned by Indigenous or Native American persons

    • Asian American or Pacific Islander owned

    • Owned by a person of color (not included in categories above)

    • Owned by a member of a religious minority

    • Owned by a member of the LGBTQ+ community

    • Owned by a person with a disability

    • Owned by a person who live in a rural area

    • None of the above
