The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to repair the C-5 Hydraulic Winch NSN 1680-01-216-4525, Part Number 42420-4. This requirement is for repair services. Our repair services strategy is a ten-year contract (basic and five one-year ordering periods with an option to extend for an additional five one-year ordering periods) and will continue through FY33. The projected quantities will be Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ) of 36 per year.

The Hydraulic Winch must meet form, fit, function, and interface requirements as referenced in per T.O. 13C1-35-4. However, the Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to compete the repair of this part. It has been determined to be uneconomical to reverse engineer the data, qualify a new source, or buy the data and/or data rights. Collins Aerospace is the only source of known repair for this item and has been since it was fielded.
