Description

The C-17 Program Management Office has a requirement that is for a firm-fixed price contract for three (3) each NSN: 6625-01-547-4345, APU-CLAMP METER, P/N: 17G245521-1 which includes one First Article, one First Article Test Plan, and one First Article Test Report. The C-17 aircraft contains an auxiliary power unit (APU) that provides electrical power and pneumatic power to the aircraft when the engines are not running. These powers are used for the lighting, avionics, avionics cooling, and starting engines. The APU is a small turbine engine in the forward portion of the right wheel well pod. The APU requires constant air flow to operate. The APU inlet door allows air to flow to the APU. The inlet door needs to remain opened when the APU is running because the APU consumes a large volume of air. The function is to measure the current flowing through the wire to verify the APU inlet door is rigged properly and not causing the actuator to have problems shutting off, it will keep drawing current and possibly burns out the actuator and causes APU implosion. A means is required to test the current to the actuator to ensure the actuator is rigged properly at the organizational and depot level of maintenance. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% small business set aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), Excluded Parties List System (EPLS), and other Government databases to determine contractor status before evaluating proposals. Proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria stated in the RFQ. All data for this weapon system is considered EXPORT CONTROLLED. If you desire to obtain a copy of the RFQ, your emailed request must be submitted to ana.winner@us.af.mil and alexander.ko.1@us.af.mil. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be released on or around 29 February 2024.
