Description:
Sealed bids will be accepted by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County Finance Department, Purchasing Division, 375 Satula Avenue, Athens, GA. 30601, until Thursday April 23, 2020 for BID #00998 TSPLOST 2018, Project No. 06 – Firefly Trail – Phase 2, according to the contract documents, plans, and specifications. All bids will be opened in public and read aloud immediately following the specified closing time. Bid proposals may not be withdrawn for 120 calendar days.
The Project consists in developing a multiuse trail that will traverse from the intersection of Old Winterville Road proceeding east, generally following the abandoned rail line and ending at Hancock Road. The project includes approximately 1.8 miles of 12-14’ wide concrete multiuse trail spanning multiple property parcels and includes a 175’ bridge to span the future north bound entrance ramp to the bypass from Lexington Rd US Hwy 78/ SR10 with all other necessary associated work and materials necessary for the completion of the project.
The Project also incorporates the installation of approximately 5,000 linear feet of recycled water main in conjunction with the trail construction.
This project is locally funded but includes coordination efforts with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Standard Specifications, 2013 Edition, GDOT Supplemental Specifications Book, 2016 Edition, and applicable Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions apply to this project.
This overall project schedule is to reach Substantial Completion in 450 calendar days. See section 01011, Unique Requirements, for additional milestone due dates.
