The Houston County Board of Commissioners is accepting Sealed Proposals, for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the SR 247 MSW Landfill, 2022 GCCS Expansion. The proposals will be received by the Owner at the Houston County Public Works, Attention: Mark Baker, Purchasing Agent, 2018 Kings Chapel Road, Perry, Georgia 31069, until, but no later than 3:00 PM, local time, on October 25, 2022, and then at said office publicly opened, with only the names of Proposers read aloud.

The Project consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, and incidentals and performing all work required to construct in place and ready to operate a landfill Gas Collection and Control System (GCCS) expansion in the Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. An existing GCCS is in operation at the landfill. The proposed expansion consists of installing vertical and horizontal gas extraction wells with associated HDPE lateral and header pipe, isolation valves, air line, force main, other related improvements, and erosion and sedimentation control items.

A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held for all Proposers at 11:00 AM, local time, October 11, 2022, at the Landfill Administration Building, 2080 Highway 247 South, Kathleen, GA 31047. All proposers must attend all of the Pre-Proposal Conference. Any bidder that does not attend the pre-proposal conference will be disqualified from proposing and their proposal will not be accepted.

The work will be awarded in one Contract.

Copies of Request for Proposal may be obtained at the office of the Engineer, Atlantic Coast Consulting, Inc., 7 East Congress Street, Suite 801, Savannah, Georgia 31401, upon payment of $225.00, non refundable, for each set. No partial sets will be sold. Shipment will be via delivery service – two-day delivery. Other shipping will be at the purchaser’s additional expense. Street address must be provided to allow delivery.
