Sealed bids will be received by CITY OF LAVONIA, GA for the construction of WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY - 2023 IMPROVEMENTS at Lavonia City Hall, 12221 Augusta Street, Lavonia, GA 30553 until 10:30 AM local time, November 10, 2022, and then at said time and place publicly opened and read aloud.

The Work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for construction new headworks, aeration pond upgrades, constructed wetlands and effluent control modifications, effluent main and outfall modifications, control building renovations, SCADA system improvements, paving and site improvements, and all related appurtenances.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Peoples & Quigley, Inc., 6059 Boylston Drive, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328, (404) 255-2650, until 48 hours before the bid opening for $200 per set, which is nonrefundable.

Bids must include a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. All bonds must be countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent. A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid must be furnished by the successful bidder.

All Bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License.
This project (EDA Investment No. 04-01-07383) will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority, State Revolving Fund. Therefore, the project is subject to the Federal and State laws and regulations associated with those programs.
