Description
Purpose of Procurement
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia by and on behalf of the University of Georgia (hereinafter, the State Entity) is soliciting statements of qualifications from suppliers interested in providing graphics packages for the Poultry Sciences Complex. This electronic Request for Qualified Contractors (eRFQC) is intended to identify one or more responsible suppliers who meet or exceed the identified requirements contained herein. This eRFQC will not result in contract award. Instead, this eRFQC will establish a list of one or more qualified suppliers who will be eligible to participate to win future contracts from the State Entity.
The approx. 77,000 sf new UGA Poultry Science Complex will house research labs, undergraduate classrooms and an auditorium, as well as graduate student and faculty offices. Their mission is to provide innovative leadership, scientific discovery, and development of technologies to sustain a viable poultry production industry in Georgia, the U.S. and the world. This new building will help the Poultry Science Department achieve this mission by improving the critical visibility of its research programs to students and the public alike. To that end, the environmental graphics will play a prominent role in attracting people into the building and letting them know they are at the center of a thriving research and learning hub that is exciting and energizing.
The graphics program for the facility consists of 2D and 3D graphics, signage and donor recognition elements. The selected vendor will provide fabrication and installation services for numerous digitally printed large format graphic for circulation and collaboration spaces. Fabricated elements include video display surrounds with integrated graphics for each lab, digitally printed SEG fabric framed fun facts for the program, and a multi-dimensional, multi-layered history wall constructed of metal, wood and acrylic. The signage component consists of glass fabricated signage directories for vertical movers.
