INVITATION TO BID MACON WATER AUTHORITY MACON GA. Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF PAVEMENT at the Lower Poplar Water Treatment Facility known as LPWTF-Asphalt Rehabilitation (the “Project”) will be received by the Macon Water Authority (the “Owner”), at 537 Hemlock St, HR Training Room, Macon, GA 31201 until 2:00 P.M., local time, April 11, 2023, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. All bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at 1101 Lower Poplar St at 10:00 A.M. on March 28, 2023. Bid questions must be submitted by 10:00 A.M. on April 4, 2023. Project consists of: Area 1- BASE BID for furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to remove existing pavement and replace with new pavement to match existing for approximately 911 square yards, and includes but is not limited to milling out five (5) inches, installing three (3) inches of 19mm binder base asphalt, roll and compact; lay two (2) inches of 12.5mm asphalt toping, roll and compact, manhole adjustments, and related appurtenances along the project limits; and erosion and sedimentation control measures as shown on the plans and as specified; and all incidentals for a complete job. Owner retains all milled materials. ALTERNATIVE BID, AREA 2, consists of furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to remove existing pavement and replace with new pavement to match existing for approximately 366 square yards; all other criteria will be the same as stated above under the BASE BID.
