Description


Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of widening and resurfacing improvements to Cogdell Road in Atkinson County, Georgia. All improvements will be funded by the TIA program as awarded from the Georgia Department of Transportation. Sealed bids will be received until 10:00am (local time),
Friday, January 27, 2023, at which time bids will be opened and read.

The meeting will be held at the Atkinson County Board of Commissioners Office and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Mrs. Nina Lott, County Clerk for the Atkinson County Board of Commissioners; P.O. Box 518 or 86 Main Street, Pearson Georgia 31642. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. Atkinson County may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

The Scope of Work Includes:
Widening and Resurfacing Improvements to Cogdell Road.

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of Atkinson County in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for Atkinson County. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.

All work on the project must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days of the date issued in the Notice to Proceed.
