The Johnson County Board of Commissioners is currently seeking a qualified contractor for completion of the GA-TIA Project HG-0747 to grade, drain, base, & pave 1.20 miles on Tuckers Grove Church Road. A completion date of November 30, 2023 is set for the project.

All of the work for this project is to be completed according to the 2021 Standard Specifications and the 2016 Supplemental Specifications of the Georgia Department of Transportation and Special Provisions for local projects included in the proposal.

Paper copies of the bid proposal package for the project will be available at the Johnson County Board of Commissioners office at 2484 West Elm Street in Wrightsville until 1:00 PM on Friday, October 21, 2022. A proposal guaranty/bid bond of 10% of the contractor's lump sum bid payable to the Johnson County Board of Commissioners is required for each quotation submittal. The bid bond will be forfeited to the Johnson County Board of Commissioners should the bidding contractor fail to execute the contract for the work within 14 days of the notice of award. The Johnson County Administrator will open bids for the project at the Johnson County Board of Commissioners Office at 2484 West Elm Street in Wrightsville on Tuesday, November 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM.

Contractors should return quotations for the project on the bid sheet from the proposal to the Johnson County Board of Commissioners in a sealed envelope marked GA-TIA HG-0747- Tuckers Grove Church Road not later than the date and time set for the bid opening.

The Johnson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject bid quotations, negotiate or waive technicalities, and make awards for this project in accordance with contracting guidelines established by the County and in compliance with the GA-TIA project requirements of the Georgia Department of Transportation
