Henry County Schools is requesting competitive proposals from responsible, responsive offerors to provide robotics equipment and accompanying instructional materials for all students in grades 9-12. We expect an adequate amount of equipment for students in these grade levels to integrate robotics and coding lessons into existing computer science, programming and engineering lessons. A successful offeror will enable districtwide robotics experiences that will allow students to problem solve with hands-on learning experiences (aligned to core instructional content), and through the STEM engineering instructional process as they apply coding principles. In addition, a successful offeror’s equipment, materials, and services will enable our students’ greater opportunity to enter future robotics competitive events beyond the District, where desired by students and/or schools. The equipment and materials should be versatile enough to use within classroom instruction, as well as in a club or competitive setting. An additional component will be the service of facilitating deep understanding of the equipment and materials to all instructors (e.g. teachers, paraprofessionals, and other educators) for proper and best use of the student equipment and materials.
