The Ware County Board of Education is requesting sealed bids for the WARE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL MULTI-PURPOSE COVERED PRACTICE FIELD.
Bidding specifications and construction documents may be obtained by providing a written request, e-mail format is acceptable, to Douglas A. Bidding specifications and construction documents will be sent in electronic format at no cost. Hard copies can be provided with a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 per set.
Sealed bids must be received no later than 2:00 PM (EST) on Thursday, February 2, 2023. No bid documents will be accepted after 2:00 PM (EST) on Thursday, February 2, 2023.
Sealed bids will be opened at 2:00 PM (EST) on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Ware County Board of Education Office Board Room located at 1301 Bailey Street, Waycross, Georgia, 31501.

The project scope of work will consist of, but is not limited to, the following: Approximately 68,000 square feet of an open-air pre-engineered metal building structure to cover the existing Ware County High School Practice field. The existing natural turf field will be removed and replaced with a synthetic turf field. Two existing shot-put areas will be demolished and two new shot-put areas will be constructed. The existing track surface will be removed and resurfaced. The synthetic turf field and resurfacing of the track will be performed through a Cooperative Purchasing Agency (selection of an Owner-approved vendor is complete). The Contractor will be responsible for all coordination of work included in the synthetic turf installation and the track resurfacing. Additional work will include new site lighting for the track, electrical lighting and power, underground drainage and associated civil work.
