The Cobb County - Marietta Water Authority is pre-qualifying pipeline contractors for the Maner Road Water Main replacement project involving the replacement of approximately 4,800 LF of DIP and PCCP water main with FRP water main. Applications for pre-qualification for bidding will be received until 2:00 p.m. local time, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Engineering Strategies, Inc.’s office at 3855 Shallowford Road, Suite 525, Marietta, GA 30062.
The Applicant must submit five (5) hard copies of the completed application and a PDF copy on USB drive. The pre-qualification requirements are based on pipe laying experience with ductile iron pipe and fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) pipe along with personnel and financial records (1 Separately Sealed Copy). Information submitted by the contractor will be reviewed by the Authority's Engineering, Transmission and Finance staff. If pre-qualification requirements are satisfactorily met, a recommendation will be made to the Water Authority Board for pre-qualification status. Final approval is strictly a Board decision. To bid a project with the Authority, a contractor must have Board approval before the date of the first public advertisement. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all applications for pre-qualification, to waive informalities and to re-advertise.
