American Rescue Plan Act Funding - Request for Applications and Public Notice of Availability
The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government’s Leisure Services and Housing and Community Development departments are currently soliciting proposals to expand youth development and violence prevention programming in summer 2023. A total of $500,000 will be available to non-profits to expand existing youth programs and may be awarded, in varying amounts, to multiple agencies.
Funding Goals:

Expand existing youth development and violence prevention programming serving ACC youth under 18 years of age during the summer of 2023 (May 25, 2023 - August 1, 2023). A definition of "expansion" is detailed in the request for proposals (RFP) document.

Focus on at least one of the eligible activities described in the RFP.

Prioritize youth development programming that serves youth ages 12-17 years of age whose primary residence is in a Qualified Census Tract and/or the Gaines, Alps, and Howard B Stroud elementary zones.

Prioritize proposals that are collaborations between at least two but no more than 3 providers.
