The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. for a purchase order for fill and dry 2100 vials, 12 targets including primers and probes provided to IDT for fill and dry. This procurement will satisfy the Agency’s requirements because the CDC Influenza B Genotyping IVD kit is an FDA-approved in vitro diagnostic test. In accordance with FDA guidelines manufacturing FDA-approved in vitro diagnostic kits must use the same steps and processes that were used when creating test performance data for FDA data submission. Integrated DNA Technologies is the only approved manufacturer for vialing and drying down of the primers and probes for the CDC Influenza B Genotyping IVD kit. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
