The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to manufacture the RADIO FREQUENCY AMPLIFIER for the AN/ARC-171. The National Stock Numbers (NSN) and Part Numbers (PN) are as follows:
ITEM: AMPLIFIER, RADIO FREQUENCY
NSN: 5996-01-060-0234CX
PN: 351-9711-030
The RADIO FREQUENCY AMPLIFIER is a component of multiple Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) on the AN/ARC-171. It was developed by Rockwell Collins and integrated into all AN/ARC-171 Receiver Transmitters. On the ARC 171, receiver-transmitters provide ultra- high frequency (UHF) receive-transmit communications for the overall Air Force Satellite Communications System (AFSATCOM). The Receiver Transmitters are the UHF link in airborne and ground terminals.
The service shall include providing obsolete parts resolution along with the necessary engineering to investigate Deficiency Reports and Material Improvement Projects (MIPs).
The RADIO FREQUENCY AMPLIFIER must meet form, fit, function, and interface requirements as referenced in T.O. 12R2-2A-414, Figure 36, Index 66.
